Possibly one of Mercedes-Benz’s most elegant designs, the W111 Coupe with its large wraparound rear screen and pillarless doors, make these cars particulary sought after. The pick of the bunch, needless to say is the 3.5, these last of the line V8’s gave the car the engine and power to excel. They also has rarity on its side with just 245 cars produced in right hand drive form.

This particular car was first registered in October 1970, little is know about its early life. We do this car his car is fitted with the desirable floor-shift automatic gearbox and electric windows, optional tinted glass windows.

The car was subject to a photographic restoration back in 2007, the car was painted in Silver-Blue at this time, as it was before the restoration, though it has previously been colour changed. The restoration work was done to a high standard, the quality of the paintwork is generally very good, with only minor marks conducive with use over the past decade. The majority of the chrome is good, though some could do with being redone, should the new owner wish.

The interior has be completely retrimmed in Parchment Leather to a good standard back in 2008 and has aged well over the past 10 years. Both the front and rear seats are fitted with inertia reel seatbelts. The interior woodwork and trim generally presents well, the stereo has been replaced by a retro modern stereo.

The engine has been recently rebuilt in 2014 some 3,000 miles ago at a cost of just over £11,000 with photos and invoices in the file. Needless to say, the car runs and drives very well. Since the restoration, there has been huge expenditure to bring the car up to the great mechanical condition which it’s in today, with the car regularly being serviced with many invoices on file from classic Mercedes-Benz Specialists.

This is an great use-as-is car, that you would be proud to show off! It’s in wonderful mechanical condition with room for some minor cosmetic improvement over time.
