With just a 10 month production run, the 250SL is by far the rarest of all the Pagodas, and in many ways the pick of the bunch! It retains the prettier cosmetic features of the 230, including two piece hubcap and painted wheels, 'swan neck' door mirrors and interior chrome detailing. It gained however, the uprated mechanical's of the later 280SL, including 7 main bearing engine and all-round disc brakes.

This particular car was first registered on 6th April 1967, comes in the desirable specification of a UK-supplied right hand drive 250SL, fitted with an automatic gearbox with power-steering.

Finished in DB834 Moss Green Metallic with Tan Leather this car is in stunning condition having just had a full cosmetic restoration by all the right people. As can been seen in the final product, this car is flawless, the car itself retains all its original body panels and factory spot welds under the bonnet, on the front wings and on the boot floor. In fact, such is the originality of the car, the alloy bonnet and boot lid both still feature the factory etch-primer run marks from when they were dipped over fifty years ago. Needless to say, the panel gaps of the car are perfect, just as it left the factory, having never had any body work. The exterior chrome has all been refinished to an excellent standard which contrasts beautifully against the deep green paintwork.

Under the bonnet, the 'matching numbers' engine has been beautifully detailed and plated. The paintwork is excellent, with the engine having been removed during the repaint. Wonderful and original factory spot welds are visible around the edge of the engine bay and on the inner wings.

The interior of the car is spectacular! Opening the door reveals more perfect factory spot welds on the back of the front wings. Completely retrimmed in tan leather with the correct perforations in the seat centres, the interior is a wonderful place to sit. Matching hidden inertia reel seats belts with chrome buckles nicely complement the tan leather. New correct loop-weave Bamboo coloured carpeting features throughout the interior. The original interior wood has been beautifully restored. A rare and period correct Becker Europa Radio is fitted with matching small stereo knobs.

The hardtop has been restored at an eye-watering cost and is finished in matching Moss Green with Tan leather trim. it is fitted with wonderful chrome roof rails, new headlining and restored wood trim. The car has been fitted with a new Black Soft Top.

The car has covered just 64,000 miles in the hands of its three previous owners, the first for 24 years and then the next two being family ownership since 1991. It’s fitted with five very expensive Michelin MXV-P tyres, perhaps the only tyre that should ever be fitted to a Pagoda, and needless to say drives beautifully. The spare wheel is fitted with it’s original cover and contains a matching tool roll.

Perhaps unsurprisingly this car turns heads no matter wherever you take it and never has must be seen in the flesh’ been so true! Now ready for its next owner.
